Ockert Jansen
Ockert Jansen is a communications strategist with 18 years’ experience in mainstream media, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and strategy development.
He currently holds a Master of Art degree in International Communication (USA) and is a PhD candidate at the University of Namibia focusing on Access to Information within Southern Africa. Ockert has a keen interest in media law, policy and regulations. His experience in both corporate and government sectors is impressive. He worked for the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, One Africa Television, National Commission on Research, Science and Technology, the Namibian Judiciary and currently heads the Department Marketing, Corporate Communications and Client Management Services at BIPA.
Ockert understands the importance of driving key messages, be it to an external public or the media. He boasts an impressive relationship profile with media practitioners across the sub-region.
