Maria Namukwambi
Maria brings at least 10 years in research ,4 years in public policy analyses and drafting, and more than 3 years in investment and portfolio management in private equity and venture capital. She also holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch.
Maria is currently serving as a Business Developer for the GIZ StartUp Namibia project, a project aimed at improving conditions for the establishment and growth of start-up companies in Namibia.
Her role includes but not limited to, managing the Slingshot Fund which provides seed capital to startups and provide business development services to scalable and high growth potential startup businesses by coordinating business coaching and mentorship activities, help identify markets and access to finance.
Maria is currently serving as one of the Namibian representatives on the World Bank Group Innovation Bridge Ecosystem Advisory Committee which is aimed at providing advisory services to the Innovation Bridge Digital Start-up Community Project Team in supporting entrepreneurs in each of the SACU countries.
